What is Southern Comfort?

Southern Comfort is an American Fruit-Flavoured Liqueur.

How was Southern Comfort Created?

Southern Comfort was created in 1874 when a man called Martin Wilkes Heron flavored bourbon with honey, citrus and spices.

Heron created the liqueur whilst working at McCauley’s Tavern, a saloon in New Orleans’ French Quarter and patented the concoction in 1889 when he moved to Memphis.
