Gin

Gin is a distilled alcohol drink made from Juniper Berries and is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages in the world.

It’s popularity is growing year on year, with sales in the UK rising beyond £3 billion per year.

For Gin, we recommend:

Blue Curacao

Blue Curaçao is a liqueur flavored with the dried peel of the Laraha citrus fruit, which is then artificially coloured blue for effect.

It’s a great ingredient to use in cocktails because it pretty much has everything you could ever want as a cocktail mixer:

  1. It has an enticing colour.
  2. It has a bitter orange taste that blends well with most flavours.
  3. It has a great amount of alcohol in it.

For Blue Curacao, we recommend:

Chambord

Chambod is a fruit-based liqueur. It was created in 1982 and is made from red and black raspberries, Madagascan vanilla, Morrocan citrus peel, honey, and Cognac.

It’s a lovely liqueur that’s particularly good poured over ice cream.

And I think that’s one of these reasons some people prefer to use Chambord over Creme de Cassis: they prefer the flavour of raspberry over blackcurrant, but also it’s sweeter.
